Narrabundah home shot at allegedly over business transaction gone wrong, police say

 A 31-year-old man will face court in Canberra today after yesterday afternoon's targeting shooting incident in Narrabundah.


Key points:

Shots were fired into a family's home in Canberra's south about 2:30pm on Tuesday

Police believe the shooting was a targeted attack, but the crime was not drug or gang related

Officers say they believe the shooting could have been in relation to a "business transaction"

Shots were fired at a house in Goyder Street about 2:00pm on Tuesday, hitting a car and the outside of the home.


On Wednesday morning, police said they had a man in custody, who was facing a number of charges including act endangering life, discharging a firearm and property damage.


"Police were doing a door knock of the residence and the person came back and fired some more shots," ACT Policing's Deputy Commissioner Neil Gaughan told ABC Radio Canberra this morning.
